About Philip Johnstone:
A skilled and experienced media lecturer with twenty-three years of experience in further and higher education. Broad repertoire of subject areas including film studies, graphic design, radio & podcasting, sound production for video and media law & regulation. Academic interests also include artificial intelligence and its effect on the creative industries in terms of employment, procedural content generation and the intersection of copyright and blockchain technology. Author of a new Ph.D. in commercial audio drama production.
Key strengths lie in: taking complex concepts and reforming them into memorable, enjoyable and entertaining seminars and lectures; preparing students in the development of vocational skills with a realistic awareness of employment issues; providing students with the tools necessary to improve the quality of their work, adding value and raising standards.
