About Pia Abraham:

I have recently completed an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy at Birkbeck University in London, and I am eager to bring my expertise to Canterbury’s mental health community. With over 100 supervised clinical hours as an Honorary Psychotherapist at North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) and volunteer experience at Mind UK, I have developed expertise in applying psychodynamic principles to address diverse and complex presentations, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am passionate about fostering therapeutic alliances through curiosity, empathy, and professionalism by working within the BACP ethical framework. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and am committed to ongoing training towards BACP accreditation.
