After many years in education leadership I have now decided to apply myself to a new career path where I can apply my broad range of skills, knowledge and professional competencies.

I am an enthusiastic, personable and dedicated person. I have strong communication skills, am highly organised, very adaptable and have strong teamwork skills. I am a fluent French speaker and have a strong working application of Spanish.

I have many transferable skills and knowledge, particularly in relation to people management, project leadership, change management and data analysis.

Until recently I have worked in the field of Special Educational Needs, moving to the position of Headteacher of an outstanding special school. In this varied role it meant developing a broad range of areas of knowledge, including education, complex project management, health & safety, safeguarding, equality & inclusion, financial management, premises management, human resourcing, multidisciplinary relationships, evaluation and reporting. I have now decided, though, to apply myself to a new career path and am ready to adapt, learn and re-specialise.

Whilst my career has focused on Special Educational Needs (SEND) leadership, I now feel that I have many transferable skills and knowledge, particularly in relation to people management, improvement cycles and project leadership. Aside from the broader leadership responsibilities though, my work has centred largely around team working, interpersonal relationships, collaboration and communication. I feel these broader, transferable skills and attributes, alongside my language skills would lend themselves to a broad range of positions.

Through my ongoing career development I have developed a deep sense of professionalism, including punctuality and resilience. I have strong communication and IT skills, am highly organised and have strong teamwork skills. I have an enquiring, solutions-focused mind, learn quickly, adapt to new situations quickly and with dedication and enthusiasm.
