Piya Longani

This is Piya Longani and I completed my undergraduate studies in Fashion Business and Management. Additionally, I hold a silver medal in roller speed skating, earned at the national level in India. My journey as a sportsperson has fostered invaluable traits such as effective time management, unwavering dedication, and strong leadership skills within me. Eager to delve deeper into the intricacies of the Indian fashion landscape, I embarked on my professional journey at the age of 17. This journey began with assisting a fashion designer in 2020, followed by a business development intern at a sustainable startup based in Pune. Fuelled by a fervent commitment to sustainability and a desire to hone my leadership and organizational prowess, I led the organization of a Swap Shop event in Pune.

I worked as a Merchandising Assistant for a Fashion business. I contributed to the market research and trend analysis to help curate the products. I also facilitated seamless communication ensuring synergy between merchandising, marketing, and sales teams for effective product launches. 

As the Business Development intern at Fabrikolor, I was responsible for tasks like website revamping and applying for funding. I continuously communicated and collaborated with the Fashion designer and the founder for product selections/launches and pricing strategy. 

As the sales Associate at Superdry, I enhanced my communication skills and exceeded daily targets. I furthered my learnings from Superdry to apply them in a luxury setting when I worked for Selfridges. 

I have studied Fashion Business and Management in the UK. As part of this course, I was required to be well-versed in industry trends and continuously research relevant topics.
