About rachael ngene:
I am a full-time student at University College Birmingham, studying the Health and Social Care Extended Diploma (A-level). I am passionate about pursuing a career in nursing and am currently looking for an apprenticeship course to gain hands-on experience. I am happy to relocate for the right opportunity. I enjoy expanding my knowledge in anatomy and have recently completed my extended phlebotomy course. Staying busy is important to me, and in my free time, I love visiting art museums to explore different cultures and histories
Experience
I have experience working as a support worker, where I assisted service users with daily activities, created care plans, and ensured person-centred care while following agreed ways of working. This role required me to work independently, applying common sense and initiative in various situations. Additionally, I have worked as a sales assistant in a fast-paced retail environment, where I provided excellent customer service, managed stock and inventory, and ensured shelves were well-stocked while identifying shortages. I also handled customer queries professionally and communicated effectively with head office. My diverse experience has strengthened my ability to multitask, work efficiently under pressure, and provide high-quality care and service.
Education
I am currently a full-time student at University College Birmingham, studying the Health and Social Care Extended Diploma (A-level). This course has provided me with a strong foundation in person-centred care, health policies, and operational procedures. I have also completed A-levels in Human Biology and Health and Social Care, further enhancing my understanding of healthcare practices. Additionally, I recently finished an extended phlebotomy course, which has given me hands-on experience in venipuncture and patient care. My education has equipped me with the knowledge and practical skills essential for a career in nursing, and I am eager to continue developing my expertise through an apprenticeship.
