About Rana Khan:

I am a software developer specialising in Predictive Analytics. I am proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and Python; I use Pandas, Numpy, Plotly, Seaborn, and Matplotlib packages; Tensorflow for ML modelling; and Django web framework. I have 8 years of experience in environmental and building information research. I am a valued team member with great communication and analytical skills.

  • Have assisted over 50 Black Country’s SMEs in tacking various regeneration challenges of brownfield land.
  • Site investigation:  site models using LiDAR, GPR, Aerial Photogrammetry, etc., for brownfield regeneration.
  • Investigating and analysing current Brownfield site’s data, and its digital representation
  • BIM modelling, site surveying, modelling and its integration into maps and GIS.
  • Investigating current land conditions, understanding of the soil contaminants, their impact on the environment.
  • Proposing the best practices to represent, analyse and remediate brownfield sites.
  • Research on policy, planning and legislation for the redevelopment of lands. 
  • Writing and submitting research bids for workshops and research projects including international collaboration
