Dear Sir/ Madam, Having always wanted to pursue a career in Teaching I have tirelessly invested my hard work, time, and effort in working towards attaining my goal. Having studied ICT at GCSE, BTEC, and Degree levels, I have come to appreciate the versatility of the ways in which its users can influence all society prompting my desire to teach the subject in the future. Becoming a School ICT Technician is not only a job for me but a stepping stone to further developing and expanding my knowledge of working in an educational environment. This great opportunity will help in develop skills I have gained from placements at other schools and educational facilities. At one such placement, I was given the opportunity to tutor and mentor a child who struggled with English as it was a second language, which meant I was able to help and tutor him for an impending GCSE ICT exam. Despite the challenge, the experience was extremely gratifying when seeing that the child benefited from my help. It inevitably encouraged me to pursue a career in teaching after my degree as I believe the profession would be extremely rewarding. I have always worked hard to achieve my goals and attain the best in my studies. I am a motivated and conscientious individual who will work immensely hard to fulfill the requirements as a Teaching Assistant at your school. I am a reliable hard worker who can work equally well as part of a team or as an individual. I can adapt well to different environments easily and quickly as I aim to achieve all the targets I am set. I am always punctual and readily active to make the most of any situation I am in. These skills I believe are essential to have when teaching children, as they are constantly developing and learning not only subject skills but life skills also that will give them the best opportunities in life. As a well-rounded individual, I try to take advantage of the many opportunities available to me. Recently I was able to participate in the Envision Community Apprentice project where I raised money for charity and took part in volunteering at local hospices and old people's homes. It has allowed me to develop my social skills and helped me to discover personal strengths in leadership, punctuality, and being organized, skills I believe are extremely important within a teaching environment. Being able to teach at your establishment would enhance and broaden my understanding of the job and the necessary skills I need in order to further my career opportunities in a teaching field within the school. I am an open-minded person who enjoys a challenge and who can adapt well to new surroundings as shown in my volunteer work. I am an extremely sociable person who loves meeting new people from various cultures and backgrounds, having always been surrounded by people of various ethnicities throughout my life. I believe that given this fantastic opportunity I would relish the chance to prove myself as a Teaching Assistant and to show how immensely hard I will work to become a valuable addition to your school. In order to ensure that I truly reflect my profile at this stage of my career, I have undertaken several responsibilities alongside regular teaching to show evidence of progression and my suitability for teaching in both secondary and primary school. I have been proactively involved in creating GCSE lessons for the head of the department, mapping these to the AQA curriculum. I have also created lessons and activities relating to each subject from scratch. I also ensured that I implemented assessments termly to ensure students stay on target and my delivery of this course helps motivate my students and keep them eager to achieve their targets. Alongside teaching, I have been running ICT clubs ranging in subjects like programming languages like python, scratch games, and HTML coding. In my Arabic classes, I include after-school clubs aimed at non-speaking Arabic students to help consolidate their knowledge and ensure that they pass their exams with the highest capabilities.

Having recently started the role, I have proposed a plan for a new curriculum to be set out, these include AQA GCSE level and key stage 2-4 Computer science which will be taught completely following Summer 2022.  In addition to this role, I was required to oversee standards and develop frameworks for teaching and learning, including assessments.
