About Rebecca Molloy:

I have most recently been working as a freelancer in Agile SDLCs as a Quality Assurance Lead and as a Product Manager. Working with several global organisations, I have defined QA strategy, and lead products from pilot through to release.

Before becoming freelance, I was a Product Manager of a suite of B2B anti-fraud SaaS, for the world’s largest credit bureau. It is the ownership of a product, being accountable for how it develops and changes over time, to meet ever-changing customer and stakeholder wants and needs, that is the challenge I most enjoy and find I am most successful at achieving.

I am a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), with the knowledge and skills to work in an agile and self-organised manner. Through my adoption of Agile and Scrum, leading by example, the values and principles spread through the team and really propel the attainment of rapid value in the product, through iterative and adaptive development.

I’ve enjoyed the independence and vast variety of insights that freelance work has provided me, and as a self-starter, motivated personality, I also relished the chance to prove myself for my own worth, to impact outcomes directly and learn from different organisations and teams. I feel I have achieved what I wanted to in this venture ahead of schedule. Now I hope to find a new opportunity to be part of something bigger, working within the family of a holistic company once again.

05/2021 – Present 

Quality Assurance Lead / Product Manager [Freelance]

Independent – contract work as a Product Manager 

▪ Successfully Product Managed a B2C connected (Bluetooth) application from Pilot phase through to release. 

▪ Responsible for the ultimate product goal of providing working, high quality software to customers.

 ▪ Creating necessary documentation for regulatory reporting and FDA approval submissions. 

▪ Strong and proactive communication skills to ensure transparency, inspection and adaptation are enabled within the Scrum Team. 

▪ Skillful Stakeholder management to ensure alignment with business goals and buy-in. 

▪ Managing consumer insights in the form of Customer Research, Usability (UX) studies and A/B testing, to ensure their needs and wants are fed into product development. 

▪ Backlog refinement, design authority and prioritization of new development. 

Independent – contract work as a QA Lead 

▪ Leading Quality Strategy as an integrated key player within Agile SDLCs, for a range of high profile, global organisationsin tech, telecoms, finance, fashion, sport and more. 

▪ Ownership of processes and documentation within Azure DevOps and JIRA, including Acceptance Criteria, Bug Management, Bug Tracking Integrations, Wiki publications, Test Suites, User Story & Feature progression, and reporting. 

▪ Creating and managing Test Plans and Test Cases, defining the test scenarios, validations, and schedule as the official roadmap to release. 

▪ Gathering empirical, in-depth business, market and technical knowledge for telecoms, Bluetooth, eCommerce and mobile Applications. 

Within Applause – freelance Senior Test Engineer 

▪ Managing and mentoring multiple teams of remote testers, team leads, SDETS and Test Engineers, to conduct QA testing in the form of Functional, Automation, Accessibility, Hardware, and UX. 

▪ Single point of contact for Product, Development, QA, Design and Automation. Coordinating customers, internal Applause teams, and external vendors. 

▪ Key player at Global PI Planning on-site events and R&D workshops 

▪ Planning, execution and reporting of smoke, regression, FUT, UAT and various other testing phases/methodologies. 

▪ Working as a dedicated resource for specific clients to support their Sprints, proactively determining and implementing testing direction and needs. 

▪ Scheduling fast-paced, complex, ad-hoc Test Cycles, multi-tasking and adapting at high speed. 

▪ Conducting technical prep and distribution of hardware for crowd-sourced testing of prototypes. 

▪ Responsible for testing recruitment and ultimate delivery of results, with a 100% success rate.

▪ Consistently receiving flawless customer feedback in Business Reviews, leading to numerous upsells, crosssells and new business from word of mouth. 

▪ Published author of several articles on the QA subject matter, within the Applause Community. 

 

06/2013 – 04/2021

Product Manager [Experian]

▪ Managed a suite of anti-fraud SaaS solutions, acting as the key decision maker for product development, direction, and promotion. 

▪ Identified new needs and prospects to tailor, create new or enhance existing services, through market research, fraud statistics, and engaging with many public bodies. 

▪ Navigating legal and brand sign off for new products / new use-cases. Proactively led and at times singlehandedly developed the solutions. 

▪ Created risk analysis model and process to pull and link data from Experian’s bureau, for the investigation of multiple types of fraud,such as abuse of benefits and tax discounts. 

▪ Designed output files and a scorecard, oversaw delivery of results, created and presented these reports to customers in public sector; Housing Associations, Local Authorities and Central Government. 

▪ Advisory role to the public sector clients on best practices and practical action to be taken with the results provided, such as correspondence to suspects, methods to investigate and follow-up single focus cases including prosecution. 

▪ Aligned cross-department teamsincluding sales, marketing, data processing, risk and compliance. ▪ Created and upkept all SOPsfor all stages of service from receipt of raw data, data processing, reporting and delivery. 

▪ Designed and maintained Quality Assurance processes. In addition, adapted and rolled out those processes to other products and services in the company. 12/2012 – 05/2013 Pleisure Holidays France
