 I am a motivated and enthusiastic individual seeking an entry-level position in the retail or catering industry. I am currently studying 3 Level 3 BTEC courses at Jesmond Park Academy's Sixth Form. Recently I gained six months of valuable experience in a charity shop, acquiring insights into customer service and daily retail operations.  I have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and work well as part of a team. I pride myself in delivering excellent customer service and having a superb work ethic. I am extremely excited to kick-start a retail or catering career and contribute to the success of a reputable retail or catering organisation. 

During my time as a sales assistant at Tyne Mouth Market, I gained invaluable experience in customer service, communication, and teamwork. I was responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the stall, such as ordering and organising stock and setting up and closing down the stall. I developed excellent communication and customer service skills as I helped customers with their purchases and provided them with information about the products. Additionally, I worked closely with my colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the stall and to achieve our sales targets. Overall, my experience at Tyne Mouth Market has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the retail industry.

I have attained valuable experience in the field of customer service through my time working as a paper round employee. During my employment, I successfully delivered newspapers to residential areas and maintained excellent relationships with customers. My duties included handling customer queries, managing complaints and ensuring that all newspapers were delivered within the set deadlines. Through my experience, I have developed sharp organizational skills and a strong attention to detail. Additionally, I have gained the ability to work well under pressure, multitask and work independently or in a team. My experience in paper round has proven my ability to handle responsibility with ease and has reinforced my passion for providing exceptional customer service.

In the charity shop role, I engaged in various tasks such as stock handling, cleaning, and actively communicating with customers, colleagues, and managers. This experience provided practical exposure to customer service, teamwork, and effective communication. By maintaining organised stock, ensuring cleanliness, and engaging with other staff & management, valuable skills in attention to detail, adaptability, and customer interaction were cultivated. This experience serves as a solid foundation for transitioning into retail work, highlighting a willingness to learn, collaborate, and deliver excellent service to customers.
