I am a strong candidate for this position based on my excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills from ten years as a teacher. I received a nomination from another colleague for my work in the last six months on-site Health and Safety and SSoW. I employ Plan, Do, Act, Check philosophies to drive positive Health and Safety policies.

I stepped outside the purely physical Health and Safety boundaries to begin implementing Mental Health First Aid, to start the safeguarding, not only physically but also psychologically, of colleagues. Besides physical Health and Safety, I started a programme to look after staff mental health, find volunteers to be trained as on-site Mental Health First Aiders, help, and the first point of contact for colleagues.

I have experience in DSE, Manual Handling, and Working in Enclosed Spaces training delivery. I performed data analysis to brief line managers on areas for future development and have used this ability to analyse safety issues across the site and implement solutions to them.

I have been the first point of contact for staff enquiries, assisted with recruitment processes, including advertising for positions, interviewing, batch, and individual and inducting newcomers. I set up and minuted meetings, arranged for interviews, screened up to twenty people, and simultaneously managed thirty children’s learning outcomes. I self-start and am a diligent team player.
