Riyaz Fidai

My name is Riyaz Fidai, and I'm writing to apply for the position of Assistant architect.

I graduated from Hyderabad's Maestro School of Planning and Architecture. Following that, I obtained my architect's licence from the Council of Architecture (COA) [CA/2018/96668] after graduating from Coventry University seeking opportunity to receive good learning experience.

I offer to your team a trained eye for detail and a keen sense of modern and green aesthetics, as evidenced by my portfolio, with more than 2 years of experience in architectural design and drawing, notably 3D forms with spaces and voids. I'm familiar with the Autodesk and AutoCAD suites, I use Autodesk REVIT for the majority of my work in my current role and InDesign for presentation work. However, I'm more interested in learning what this Architectural practise can teach me in order to advance my career in architecture.

Although all of my projects are dear to me, I'm particularly proud to have contributed to the mixed-use residential Project in Pune (portfolio page #4), which I was a part of since its inception right up. to its completion. This wide-ranging experience of a complex, large-scale architectural project (while simultaneously working on other smaller projects) has accelerated my learning - not only my technical design and drawing skills but, also such soft skills as time, task, and vendor management,

I managed to get an opportunity to propose a landscape Design for the same site and thankfully I succeeded to impress my senior architects.

I've also worked on freelancing community projects in London and Manchester, learning laws and conventions while accompanying and assisting senior architects during on-site inspections and quality control checks. While field visits can be exhausting, I enjoy them because they provide a change from the sedentary office setting and allow me to learn more about building features and interact with professionals on site.

Since graduation, I've engaged in continual learning and development, not only because it would advance my career, but also, I believe sustainable and futuristic design can help create beauty in modern era.  Hence, I'm currently preparing to learn about sustainable architecture and practicing various modern software to build fluid forms in architecture and landscapes.
