About Robert Christie:

As a regulatory business analyst with over 14 years of experience in financial markets, I specialize in regulatory reporting across global jurisdictions, including MiFIR, EU/UK EMIR Refit, and G20 trade reporting frameworks. At LSEG, I collaborate with compliance, legal, support teams, regulators, and trade repositories to align reporting requirements, translating complex regulatory mandates into actionable requirements for agile development teams. My contributions include facilitating refinement sessions, producing user stories, and enhancing testing coverage to ensure regulatory builds meet business needs.

Previously at LSEG ForexClear, I enabled delivery of commercial, risk and regulatory initiatives for FX clearing products by defining features, coordinating stakeholder priorities, and supporting project approvals.

My focus on operational efficiency and compliance underscores a commitment to bridging regulatory demands with practical, scalable solutions that empower teams and stakeholders globally.

LSEG ForexClear: Technical Business Analyst                                                       July 2019 – November 2023

  • Defined and documented detailed business and functional requirements across regulatory reporting changes (CFTC Part 39.19, 43 and 45, EMIR/UK EMIR) and new FX clearing solutions.
  • Partnered with Salesforce engineers to design and execute data mapping and migration strategies, transitioning manual Excel-based onboarding into an automated Salesforce workflow, enabling customer self-onboarding and improving data quality and operational efficiency.
  • Developed Salesforce data model mappings and collaborated with developers to integrate APIs (REST/XML) between onboarding, legal entity management, and internal reporting systems, ensuring data consistency and real-time updates across platforms.
  • Produced comprehensive data lineage documentation tracing end-to-end data flow from client onboarding through trade reporting, ensuring full transparency and regulatory audit readiness.
  • Supported Murex, Tableau, and Java development teams across multiple Scrum environments, providing detailed business analysis and data specifications for system enhancements.

  • Directed data lineage and transformation analysis across multiple trade, reference, and position data sources, enhancing transparency and audit traceability from trade capture to regulatory submission.
  • Collaborated with technology teams to integrate APIs and data feeds across front-to-back systems, improving the accuracy and timeliness of regulatory disclosures.
