- Leading operation of various plants within production processes to achieve highest safety standards in accordance with work procedures and efficiency goals.

- Liaising with various departments such as Operations, HS&E, Quality, R&D, Procurement and Maintenance.

- Supervise and train operators on various plants and machinery.

- Report production data within ERP fast Track System.

- Optimize product yield by maintaining all KPIs

- Competent and adaptable in relevant plant areas and processes in relations to extrusion, impregnation and mixing.

- Operate plants making plant adjustments as necessary adhering to relevant procedures in relation to control panels, valves, hydraulics, hot and cold calendar roll systems, hopper systems, waste systems, extrusions heads and impregnating and mixing tanks.

- Ensure plant routines such as starting up, shutting down, recommissioning when maintenance has been completed, carrying out safety checks and plant trip and alarm testing.

- Carrying out routine and first-line maintenance as required.

- Identify and problem solve disturbances in production and plant operations using lean management techniques and troubleshooting system to assist in getting to the root cause.

- Make visual checks on plant, identifying defects and reporting.

- Isolate, prepare and recommission plant and equipment before and after maintenance.

- Carry out sampling, analysis and testing as required.

- Competent in plant design and application of mechanical isolations.

- Competent in emergency response procedures.

- Carrying out fire warden duties.

- Operating various machinery such as Inspection plants, FLT’s and hoists.

- Working at hights and on ladders. Work both indoor and outdoor in high noise, hot/cold temperature extremes. Work in proximity to high voltage and rapidly rotating machinery/plants.

WAREHOUSE OPERATOR, ALLIED INTERNATIONAL

Allied is a major stockholder of steel pipeline products. Allied services the oil, gas, petrochemical, power, shipbuilding subsea and nuclear markets.

- Operating heavy loading vehicles such as Reach Truck, Counterbalance Truck and Combi Truck

- Supervising warehouse personnel with the day-to-day operations to optimize employee workflow.

- Trained, guide, and evaluated warehouse staff in sections of work being carried out.

- Collating and processing initial order sheets for incoming and outgoing goods.

- Keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventories is accurate.

- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of materials.

- Consulting with transport companies ensuring timeframes and deadlines is met.

- Loading and unloading of goods of wagons/trailers.

- Operating various Bandsaws to cut pipe to specification on machine drawings/works orders.

- HNC in Chemical Engineering, currently working towards. Units cover

• Engineering Maths & Science, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer and Combustion, Mass and Energy Balance, Managing a Professional Engineering Project

- Advanced L2/L3 Diploma in Engineering Technology, Units cover

• CAD Techniques, Engineering Design Process, Producing Mechanical Assemblies, Maintenance Engineering Principles, Mechanical Systems, Maintenance Techniques,Fluid Power Systems and Components, Mechanical Devices and Equipment, Engineering and Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering Organisational Efficiency and Improvement.

- NEBOSH General Certificate / IOSH Managing Safely – Units cover

• Effectively manage health and safety, identify and control workplace hazards and the UK’s key legal requirements.

- Advanced L3 Diploma in Warehousing and Storage Leadership
