My name is Rohan Manderson, I am 25 years old and am an Artist and Model.

I have been signed since 2019 and have pursued modelling as a side project for 4/5 years now. As an artist, I am a painter, sculptor, and jewellery designer and maker. I have a desire to work in fields that could support me in my creative exploration. Whether that be studio work, assistant jobs, or even set up.

With a background in online retail, shipping, coupled with my proactivity in studios I have grown to develop some very transferrable skills when it comes to these work environments. Having an understanding of the work that goes into the procurement of a photograph/video is not new to me and have been excited to get more involved in the behind the scenes of the whole operation.

I am looking for studios to work for and artists/photographers and/or sculptors to work for, also.

Experience

Active Model: Being proactive in studio settings and trying to work hands on with all members of the team, growing to learn their roles and purpose on shoot days is important to me. Being personable,  I suppose. From the PA to the gaffers, I appreciate understanding what it is that goes into the operation, and have had some great opportunities to be hands on with some of the best in the game. 

I have experience managing pop-up shops, set up and building. This, I feel combines well with the needs of an in-house studio assistant as the skills are somewhat transferrable. 

Shipping and handling, so ensuring product safety and transport is high on my list, this could translate well to the back and forth handling of equipment, such as cameras, lighting and studio equipment. 

Stock taking: ensuring all items we need are catalogued and available for use at any given time, ie. Coloramas, paint for back drops, film, Tape etc.  

Education

I am an artist and have been trained at the RA, and partnered with some great creatives over that time getting to further expand my knowledge of the requirements of the creative industry.
