Romesh Jayathilaka

I, Ranwalage Harshana Romesh Jayathilaka was born on 25th April, 1979 and currently resides at 40, Eldefield, Lertchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire. I'm 44 years old years and requesting to be enrolled in the MSC Management with Digital Marketing program offered through University of Hertfordshire that will tremendously support career advancement as well as gain knowledge from both theoretical and practical perspectives. 

I have worked within the CBL Group of Companies for the past 20+ years and I currently serve as the Marketing Manager at Ceylon Biscuits Limited(No 1 FMCH Food  brand in Sri Lanka). I started my career at Nestle Lanka Pvt. Limited as a Sales Representative and subsequently made a career switch to Marketing when I joined Ceylon Biscuits Limited in 2002. Ceylon Biscuits Limited is one of the largest conglomerates in Sri Lanka and this shift was a decisive point in my career.

I have completed a master’s program offered through ICBT Campus affiliated through Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. Prior to this, I have completed an Advance Diploma in Marketing Management and Diploma in Marketing Management in University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.

I completed my high school studies at Nalanda College, Colombo and passed GCE Ordinary Level examination in 1995/96 and GCE Advanced Level examination in 1999.   

In addition to these, many training programs such as Finance for non-finance managers, category management & market research, service lead growth in dynamic markets, food packaging, personality & leadership development, etc. were completed to further develop soft and analytical skills.
