An M365 Architect and messaging 3rd line support and migration engineer specializing in Office 365 development / Implementation and email migrations from Exchange 2010 to Office 2016 / Office 365 (Including cross premise and cloud to on premise permissions and sharing) as well as leading / coordinating various projects and rollouts of MS applications (Teams, Yammer, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Project for the Web, MS Forms, Dynamics Customer Voice, Microsoft Store for Business SCCM integration, Purview compliance tags & disposition)

 

Currently working for the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority as an M365 Architect, designing and implementing various projects across the business, as well as solution architecture. Before this I was an O365 Migration SME for Pets at Home, brought in to coordinate, organize deploy and support an office 365 migration from Exchange 2013 to O365 for 6,000 mailboxes, as well as coordinating upgrades from Office 2013 to Pro Plus. I worked closely with the lead Architect to help with automation, identity cleanups and provided support, training and documentation for the service desk.

 

Prior to this I was working for DEFRA building a high quality high functioning SharePoint site for their latest program. Automating their approvals process and managing their document libraries.

 

Before DEFRA I was an O365 Engineer for the housing association Torus, working in a complex multi forest and multi domain environment with a single O365 tenancy. I was brought in to complete the email migrations from Exchange 2010 and 2016 to Office 365, tidy up the complex mail routing, as well as introduce essential governance controls and processes for increased security, data retention and compliance.

I have also spearheaded the rollout of Microsoft Teams during the Covid crisis providing support, governance and management of the platform. I have migrated the distribution lists from on premise to Office 365 and been working on the decommissioning of the legacy exchange environment. Projects also included migrating the large SharePoint 2010 presence (25 complex sites, 60 partner sites) to SharePoint Online, as well as 500 users MySites to Onedrive For Business. I have also worked on migrations from Skype 2015 to Teams with external calling.

Prior to Torus I was working as an O365 Migration & Email Project engineer at Integral UK which had undertaken a merger with the global investment firm JLL.

Office 365 – SME of the Microsoft Stack, Implementation of services; SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams (Including calling), Project for the Web (deployment of Accelerator Power App) Forms, Power Automate, Purview, Dynamics Customer Voice, Yammer, M365 Licensing, Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills.

Exchange - Exchange Online (inc. Hybrid Environments) Exchange 2003-2016, 2010-2016-Office 365 Migrations, Linked mailbox management, Hybrid & Cross Forest Environments, 3rd Line Support, MDM Solutions,  Active Directory, Azure, MS Exchange Administration & Reporting, Email spam filter Administration (Mimecast / Messagelabs), Relay connectors, DNS, Certificate renewal, Legacy Office suite - 2016 & 365, Project coordination, ITIL Exposure, Clear and concise process documentation creation.

Azure AD – High proficiency in identity management, Azure AD administration. Deep working knowledge and understanding of AAD connect across multiple transitive domains. High degree of PowerShell scripting for automation.

SharePoint Online – SharePoint SME; Creation of SharePoint site collections and subsites, building of new sites / security groups, migration of data between file shares / SharePoint 2013.

Cyber Security – Great deal of knowledge in cyber security and awareness, drastically improved EFL’s NCSC maturity score and helped them achieve Cyber Essentials and CE+ in a very short space of time. Extensive experience working in HiSec environments.
