I studied graphic art and media as well as music technology so have abilities to design for/and understand your company’s demographics through data/social media and have work experience doing admin duties at OK! Magazine.
Being a performer, I also have to keep in touch with industry contacts and grow my audience via social media, so I have a good understanding of different platforms and how to engage other audiences through content.

PROFILE
A motivated, hardworking and organised individual who is currently working towards making their aspirations a reality. Comfortable both working alone or in a team, follows instructions well, is intuitive and creative.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
Graphic Art and Illustration of which I have published on various social media platforms and softwares like Ibis, I also wrote and illustrated a graphic novel for my Graphic Art course in college. For 7 years, I had singing lessons privately and obtained Singing Grades 1 through 5 and Music Theory Examinations 1-2 with the Royal School of Music. I am thoroughly interested in both graphical illustrations/designs, DJing and musical production, mixing and composition.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Work experience in the city at OK! Magazine where I assisted the Entertainment team in completing their daily tasks and successfully published 3 reviews in a section of an issue of the magazine in July 2019, they are available for you to read for review if necessary.
I have completed several creative commissions for clients which I had to follow a specific remit for.
For my first job after leaving school, I stepped out of my comfort zone for a month training in hospitality/customer service and then moved to work as a warehouse operative at Amazon for 6 months.
I have worked in customer service for over 2 years to support myself financially and have recently finished working as a permanent member of staff at TKMaxx after being there for over a year.
I also have experience in playing and promoting live gigs via social media and have performed all around London in venues such as Sony Music, KOKO, Ton of Brix, Oslo and even a boat!
FUTURE PROFESSIONAL PLANS, PROSPECTS AND ASPIRATIONS
It is my intention to step out of my comfort zone once and for all and work in the music industry, which is what I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
My eventual career goal is to DJ /produce music professionally, preferably in radio or with a booking agency/in residencies. Although it is uncommon for women to be in that field of the industry, our numbers are steadily growing and I hope to make a difference to that with my contributions and support other minorities in this industry. So far, with the help of connections I have made throughout the industry, I am making those dreams come true by using my initiative and being proactive, networking with other creatives and industry professionals and taking online industry courses to further my knowledge, and I couldn’t do what I do without them.
I have been DJing for almost two years now and have had gigs at Jaguar’s Utopia, Sony Music, KOKO Camden and a radio set at Reprezent and Voices Radio to name a few. By putting my foot in the music industry I am hoping to get more practice in radio and live events too, any opportunity is perfect now that my insatiable need for music cannot be quenched.

MY EXPERIENCE
Music has been a substantial part of my life particularly as I have gotten older, broadened my horizons and found my clique. The kind of music I love usually revolves around Dance and Underground sounds, especially exploring old tunes and hearing how niche, upcoming artists take inspiration from the alternative scene before them and take it in their stride.
I studied Music Technology for 4 years at Secondary and Sixth Form/College. During that time, I learnt about the industry side of music such as venue management, A&R, legal requirements such as PRS and royalties, but also took a great interest in the more creative/technical side. A big part of my education was effectively using different DAWs e.g. Logic Pro, including mixing, mastering and composing within those softwares. Though it is challenging work that demands a lot of ingenuity, that’s why I love it, as it requires a certain level of understanding that makes your knowledge unique and valuable.
I also studied Media at college and had a great insight into the world of the audience's perspective when consuming different forms of media. It taught me how different demographics can be influenced and form their conventions, which in turn also contributes to their music taste, and as a 20 year old, I fit into that demographic quite snuggly and can help reach that audience on a more personal level. After leaving school, I joined Jaguar’s amazing Future 1000 program, which really ignited my love for DJing and gave me great experiences doing some gigs with their help and support. Sharing music that I love with people that want to listen makes it worth it, and I feel that passion would make a great contribution as I enjoy networking and meeting others who share the same passion and post mixes online/interact with people via social media regularly.
