Ruth Rowley

An adventure seeking 21 year old working currently as a Health care assistant. Ready to take my next steps for my dream job. I am a passionate person with good work ethic.

Work Experience up to current date

• Peters kitchen, Rugeley, Counter assistant
• From the age of 15, I worked in my local Chinese takeaway as a counter . My job role was to answer the phone to take customer orders. I had to be confident, understanding and have good listening to be able to make sure the customer left happy with their meal. I believe working this job at such a young age has given me good work ethic and a confident personality to be able to communicate greatly with others. It set me up to understand the importance of work in the future.
• Morrisons, Rugeley, from 2019-2022
• From the age of 17, I worked at my local Morrisons in various different job roles. I was trained on every department to gain skills I didn’t have before. I was trained as a butcher and fishmonger, I also had till training, my main job role was team leader of the delicatessen alongside picking up shifts on the bakery. This gave me opportunity of taking up overtime shifts which I was always keen for, aswell as working within different teams. I picked up lots of experience working within the general public and dealing with different types of people each shift. Whilst at Morrisons I also did my first aid training and became one of four first aiders in the store.
• Healthcare assistant at County hospital - 2022 to present
• From 2022 I realised I enjoyed working with people and being in a busy work environment so I started working as a health care assistant at County hospital. I realised I have a passion for caring and feel it has grown within me as I’ve got older. I have a friendly, happy personality along with the ability to work under pressure. I regulate my emotions and understand stressful situations which I have learnt whilst working here. My job role includes personal care as well as being there for patient’s at a difficult time for them. I am empathetic and enjoy helping people no matter their situation in the best way I can.
• I have to deal with all kinds of different patients and I am good at understanding what kind of person I need to be when with them. I like to get to know my patients so they feel they can trust me at a vulnerable time for them. I always ensure I keep their dignity, as well as showing respect at all times.

Qualifications

I have 12 GCSE’s including English at a level 6, maths at a level 5 and biology physics and chemistry at level 4 and 5.

I also have a Spanish GCSE at a level 5 which I can still speak to date on a basic level.

I have three A levels in English (C) , media studies (B) and history (D). All acquired at the Hart school in Rugeley.
