About Saifeldin Ali:
I am both a highly committed and experienced Director/Manager in Higher Education in the UK for almost 25 years. My first managerial job was Head of the Postgraduate Department at the Kuwait Cultural Office in London in 2001, and my latest was Director of Academic Affairs & External Relations at the same office, until June 2019.
During this time, I have become a vastly skilled Higher Education Consultant, who has developed a wide range of capabilities and a unique set of core competencies in planning, communicating, negotiating, and organising opportunities as well as utilising diplomatic interpersonal skills. Aided by strong leadership capacities, sensitive cultural awareness, and interpersonal skills, I can form and cultivate relationships that forge creative opportunities for all institutions and companies that employ me.
As a coach or trainer, my main concern has been to enable people to work to their strengths and develop their appreciation of the importance of their role in tasks that enable students to realize their potential. I am a strong believer that good morale enables a productive workplace as well as a more contented one. These are interdependent.
I have a reasonable knowledge of the US university education system, when I was given an assignment in 2013 to prepare a comparative study on the UK vs the US degree grading and/or classifications “my report has been published on the internet until recently removed upon my request due to copy right privileges”.
I also undertook two high calibre contracts in 2014 which have additionally added to my consultancy portfolio: the first one was Senior Academic Advisor for Brighton University Business School (January to May 2014), and the second was a Higher Education Consultant for the State of Qatar’s Cultural Office (June to December 2014). Each of these roles broadened my knowledge of how the education system works from the point of view of both providers, (universities), and that of the receivers, (a diverse range of students and their sponsors).
From 2019, I became Interim Consultant in higher education for Smart Education, Logistics & Training Service (SELTS). Additional expertise such as key negotiation, assessment, and consultancy skills for all aspects of academic administration, has been further broadened in this role. I have planned and delivered extracurricular events targeted towards the needs of students studying abroad in all roles over a long period.
I have excellent presentation skills, the ability to hold seminars, and very good knowledge of exhibitions. I am a fluent native Arabic Speaker as well as fluent in English naturally. I am always personally immaculately well presented at all times.
