I am a proactive and dynamic individual combining a strong academic background with experience in Information Technology. 

I have worked on a number of different projects in various capacities; but by far the best experiences were those where I was set a task of creating a Test Automation framework using a certain platform from scratch, or implementing test strategies and shift-left approaches with developers as a way of introducing quality as a standard.

I am a capable learner, able to pick up programming languages easily as evidenced by the fact I've worked across a number of different languages in my career; such as Ruby, Java, C# .NET, TypeScript, Kotlin and Node.JS.

I have developed key infrastructure connecting my frameworks using Page-Object Modelling techniques to Behavioral Driven Development practices (In the form of Given-When-Then's) and also with key cloud-based microservices infrastructure such as AWS SDK; while also working closely and alongside DevOps teams to enshrine and embed the framework within good CI/CD practices across a number of different platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab and GitHub Actions.

I have very strong abilities to also work in Manual or Non-Functional testing settings; such as Regression; Exploratory; Performance; Load and Stress based testing practices as I am an ISTQB and ISQI trained professional.

I created a fully working test automation structure using Cucumber BDD, Page Object Modelling & Node.JS Typescript with Playwright to support a cashback service provider for a major discount online company; I also worked with other QAs in creating a Kotlin and Appium based framework for testing the service provider's apps that are hosted on the two main device types (Android and iOS).

I developed skills to being able to support debugging of Google Analytics tags and Google Tag Manager and even managed to be able to integrate some limited Google Analytics testing throughout the above mentioned automated framework.

I worked alongside Developers, other QAs; Business Analysts and Product Owners in a team working on various different items to improve the site functionality and improving retention rate. The team's main project was an upgrade to a new Content Management System (CMS) using C# .NET as its basis.

With this new CMS; I had to learn how to re-configure an automation framework in a new language with C# .NET; this meant including mocking to more closely align with the developer's code base.

This project also included working with AWS microservices including AWS Cognito; which meant coordinating with third-party API endpoints; which we originally used Postman API to query, but after a change in Postman's Terms of Service; the company decided to change API providers to Insomnia.

I maintained upkeep of the pre-existing framework; while also verifying tickets on the company's task board on JIRA; this sometimes meant verifying some tasks manually and checking some Regression tests manually that weren't covered by the automation framework, I also checked some areas using Exploratory Testing methods in a Scrum-ban based approach
