Sara Smith

I have been fortunate to have accumulated a varying and diverse foundation of experience teaching English. This experience includes teaching English virtually to children in China, working as an auxiliar de conversación in Spain, instructing business English classes in Argentina, Manager of Education and Welfare for the Columbus Crew Major League Soccer team, and Manager of Education and Welfare for the Charlotte Football Club Major League Soccer team. Language learning and instruction are my greatest passions. After learning to speak Spanish as an adult, I recognized the complexity and value of learning a second language. I want language learning to be focused, dynamic, and immediately applicable to real-world use. I am currently a student in York earning a MA in Linguistics and TESOL. I love language teaching and look forward to any instruction opportunities in York.
