I am an energetic competitor who has no issue in making mistakes and learning from them without losing my tenacious approach to situations.

Throughout my professional tenure post-academia, I have spent majority with investment banks in a range of different roles operating within the bank, ranging from placement agents to front office and external clients. During my graduate role in Societe Generale, I worked as a technical business analyst, working of a range of different regulatory projects. Due to my technical background I was able to assist in optimising the understanding of requirements from non-technical stakeholders and communicating it to a technical team. Throughout this role I was tasked with sitting in on meetings, assessing the objective points, noting the action points and then follow up meetings with clear next step as well as summaries of what the following points that needed to be achieved were. While working as a business analyst I was able to continue my technical growth by utilising the API library that SocGen provided to retrieve data from the data warehouse at a more accurate level. This also assisted with automating some of the basic data requirements needed on a range of different projects therefore streamlining the data analysis and saving time on data retrieval and extraction. During this role I was able to really cover a lot of ground on different aspects of business analysis from technicalskills to more soft skills such as stakeholder management and requirement extractions.

As I moved on to my current data analyst role I worked within the LBO department at SMBC assisting with the data regarding different deals. As the data science department within SMBC is still relatively new, I was pioneering the new data manipulation, presentation and warehousing as well as setting up data pipelines. SMBC relied more on CRM system (DealCloud) which helped me learn the different types of technology that companies are deploying to assist with data for the less technologically inclined individuals within the bank. As part of my role, I have assisted in re-mapping this data to fit the needs of teams as well as clear up any overlapping data left by my predecessor. Much like my previous role, managing expectations of non-technical stakeholders throughout many different data related projects and clarifying where issues may occur in a professional manor is a huge aspect. Throughout my role at SMBC I have led and managed a few projects related to the CRM system and which has allowed me to obtain an even better understanding of how to communicate between different stakeholders and extract their core wants from a projects vs the achievable outcome in the period of time dedicated.

As a computer science graduate, I have a firm interest in technology and a passion to continue using it throughout my career and utilising it. I am aware that the financial industry and technology industry are becoming more and more intertwined. As I have a great interest in both I feel that my fundament skills in a range of different languages such as Excel, Python, R, SQL and C# are a great asset to any team I join. I also have a great understanding of SDLC and how they progress as well as the standard pitfalls that occur throughout projects such as the UAT stages.
