About Shahad Moto:
I have been working as a SEN TA for 6 mknths so far abd have experience in tutoring for a whole academic year during 2017. I am a team player who is willing to go above and beyond to assist others in the Individual Needs department.
As a dedicated and passionate teacher, I am committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social and emotional development of all students. I am excited at the prospect of teaching in a new environment and am eager to learn more about the culture and language of the region.
I also speak English and Arabic at a Native level, Korean at an intermediat level and Chines at beginne level. I love learning new languages as it gives me a sense of accomplishment.
Experience
As a SEN TA, I have gained valuable experience in supporting students with special educational needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, and speech and language difficulties. I have adapted teaching materials and strategies to meet individual student needs, providing one-on-one support and guidance as needed. In addition, I have maintained accurate records of student progress and collaborated with other professionals to ensure that students received the appropriate support and resources. I have successfully helped two EAL students improve their English language skills, resulting in a two-grade increase. I create lesson plans and worksheets for interventions and enrichments, managing groups of up to ten students.
During my Alevels I also took on a tutoring position in the school I attended. I taught two year 7 students to help them with their English and Maths where I saw many improvements in both their attitudes towards studying and their grades.
Education
Having graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a 2:1 in History BA, I have also completed a 188-hour TEFL course, achieving a Level 5 certification. This training has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to effectively teach English as a foreign language, including lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching methodologies. I am confident that I can bring my skills and experience to the classroom and help my students achieve their goals.
