Shaun Holliday

I am a Film & TV student who would one day love to become a professional Video Editor. I have been Video Editing for three years now, since I was 16. I first Video Edited on the program Windows Movie Maker, then went on to advance to programs such as Final Cut Pro X and Premier Pro. I would say I am great at this skill while also working well in a production team.

March 2019 - September 2021

McDonald’s, Warwick Road, Carlisle - Crew Member

At this job I helped with the ordering process upfront. This includes working at till, preparing peoples drinks, preparing fries, arranging orders and serving orders. This job really helped me more with my speaking skills, organization and how to work well in a team.

July 2022 - February 2023

McDonald’s, Kingstown, Grearshill Road, Carlisle - Crew Member

This was a summer job that I had in between my first and second year of University while also returning for the Christmas period too, this was essentially like my prior job from March 2019 - September 2021 however in a new environment with new skills learner being on a headset taking people's orders that way and also serving people their food/drink through the window. It was nice returning to this type of work however I couldn't return for the Easter holidays due to working on a short film for my second year project.

November 2021 - August 2023

MooMoo Nightclub Derby - Bartender

This is a job I have been working at while being at University. Here I take peoples orders of what they want to drink then prepare and give them it. I also at times can go on glass collecting where I collect the empty cups from the bar, clean them and then put them back to the bar. This again is a job that has given me confidence since I work in tight spaces while it is still busy.

June 2023 - February 2024

Burger King (Gretna and Derby Stores) - Crew Member

This was originally a Summer job that I took in 2023 and with how hard I worked ended up being a more permanent job while I came back to study in Derby in September. This is mostly the same as my previous jobs at both Mcdonalds stores, even with one having a drive through and the other not having one. Difference is I got to have a lot more experience in the kitchen making burgers and chicken products in the best, quickest and safest manner, even on busier days such as the Summer holidays. 

September 2021 - Present

University Of Derby - Film and High-End Television Production Programme.

At this moment I am currently studying at University! Here I hope to develop all the skills I learnt at college to be on a professional level!
