I have no experience working as a professional carer but personally, I have always lived with my parents as a part of our culture, thus helping them with everyday life, house chores and providing care during illness. I was actively involved in care of my ill father during his last days of life and now I live with my old aged mother. Apart from helping her with daily routines, I try my best to support her emotionally so as to not let her feel lonely. I have always liked to work for the community. Previously, I have worked in Nepal to bring impact on maternal and child health. Similarly, I want to bring positive impact on someone’s life by working as a care assistant. I look up to my elder sister who is a professional carer since a decade. Looking at her motivates me to become a professional carer myself. I am friendly and compassionate. Caring for others naturally comes from me as I’ve learned it from taking care of my parents. With the qualities I have, I think I can work and grow as a professional carer.
