Sophie Irving

I am a multidisciplinary designer, who likes to push the boundaries of design and digital design technology. I am always looking to expand my skill set and take on new challenges. With a real desire to succeed, I am extremely hard working, committed and reliable. I am able to come up with contemporary concepts and ideas that are new and exciting, and have experience working in fast-paced environments. I like to work amongst other creatives to find innovative resolutions to design challenges using my diverse range of skills and experience.

I have worked for the last year and a half as the only in-house Designer & Content Creator for a Global Production Partner, LS Productions, based in Leith, Edinburgh. During my time here I greatly expanded and developed my skills in many different creative mediums such as graphic design, video editing, print, social media, web & landing page design and content strategy. Working as the only Designer meant I was not only evolving my designs and methods daily, but I was also the creative lead across all different areas of the business. I also had the opportunity to oversee and develop concept and strategy for each of our external events which included sponsored events, trade shows and branded launch parties/ events. 

To add to this, I have also worked as a Social Media Coordinator, Account Manager and Assistant Lecturer in Design & Communication. I believe my range of experience and skills is what has not only made me the designer that I now am but demonstrates my ability to adapt and combine my knowledge across different design mediums and industries.

I am excited by all things creative, with interests in both print and digital technology and how we innovate design to adapt to social trends and technological innovation, but also how we utilise print in the digital age. I explored this topic further through my Masters’ degree, where I received a Distinction in MA Fashion & Textiles Design.
