Sophie Kirk

I am passionate about improving quality of life. Currently on band 5 rotations and cannot image ever doing any other job. I studied as a mature student, qualifying in 2024, with the goal of occupational therapy being a lifelong career to action my care and passions while continuously growing and developing. People say I have a warmth, that I’m approachable, and compliment how hard I work. I care about doing my job properly. 

During my studies, I experienced intermmediate care services, inpatient rehabilitation, community learning disabilities and community mental health. During my first rotations I have experienced vocational rehabilitation in stroke and neurological conditions, neurological rehabilitation, and care of the elderly rehabilitation on an inpatient ward. During my studies I held a part time role as an OT technical instructor for a private company working with brain and spinal cord injury survivors. All of these experiences have provided a great variety of experiences, tying in the theory of occupational therapy to real life settings.
