About Sophie Martin:
I am an enthusiastic and passionate individual with experience running my own Performing Arts School (Come One Dance Academy). Teaching and caring for children from 2 years old up until 18 whereby I will prepare them for the next step in their career journey, whether it be in the performing arts industry guiding them through the audition process for prestigious schools or to build the confidence for interviews for Universities or jobs. I have outstanding organisation, planning and timekeeping skills as these are all essential in order to run a successful and fulfilling business.
Teaching and sharing my theories is a passion of mine alongside nurturing and supporting students mental health & wellbeing, with school work and life pressures becoming all too much at times it is crucial to provide children with an artistic outlet which is one of many reasons I love Performing Arts.
Experience
I am a strong team player and contribute to the team’s task whilst still concentrating on my individual objectives. I have lengthy experience in the hospitality and events industry and being responsible for the management, supervision, encouraging and developing of a team. I have also had experience within schools both as a receptionist/admin assistant and extra curricular coordinator leading me to have good customer care skills along with accuracy and attention to detail, with an ability to learn new skills and systems quickly. I have a proven ability to affectively work in a multi-tasking environment whilst maintaining a consistently high standard of service delivery and provision for the benefit of all clients, at all times. I also have a wide range of administration skills which include filing, preparation of meeting documentation, archiving, photo copying, order supplies, emailing and demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills. I consider myself to be committed to any role that I undertake and I have a willingness to undertake any additional training that is required for me to keep up to date with developments of business. I work well within a team or using my initiative and always aspire to establish positive relationships with all clients and colleagues that I come into contact with.
Education
I am educated up to a Diploma level with an added award in Education & Training, GCSE's include Maths & English above a C.
