I bring over 30 years of experience in procuring civil engineering materials, gained across both the merchant and subcontractor sectors. This dual perspective has enabled me to build strong, long-standing relationships with merchants and manufacturers. These relationships consistently translate into highly competitive rates and substantial cost savings — clearly demonstrated in the pound values secured on major projects. Beyond cost savings, my close connections with suppliers provide valuable on-the-ground insight into material availability, lead times, and delivery logistics. This ensures that materials arrive on site exactly when needed, in full compliance with project specifications, company site requirements, and relevant legal obligations.

Although I don’t hold formal qualifications in civil engineering or procurement, I have gained extensive on-the-job experience in both areas. Through real project work, I’ve developed strong practical skills and a clear understanding of how operations run on site and within a team environment. This hands-on experience has given me a solid foundation to perform effectively and contribute to project success.

I am also very keen to continue developing my professional skills and am fully willing to undertake any training or obtain the necessary qualifications to further strengthen my expertise and meet the requirements of the role.
