About Stewart Atkins:
I am a fully qualified Electrician, who has been with G&A Barnies for 6 years now. I play football for a few local teams as well as coaching at East End. As an Electrician I have done a range of work from industrial installation to domestic fault finding. I feel furthering my career in another environment will only better me at my profession.
Experience
Over the past 6 years I have been in a lot of various types of jobs with GA Barnies and have gained a lot of experience in numerous areas of electrical work.
Spittal AC Substation - Installed a new fire alarm system as well as a security system during the construction phase.
Spittal HVDC Conversion Substation and Blackhillock Substation - Installed CAT 7 and other multicore cables for security.
NDA Archives - Installed all types of cable containment, fire alarm system, LV circuits, inspection and testing. Was on-site for the full duration of construction.
Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Offices - Was on-site from the start of construction until after it opened and covered cable containment, fitting out, security systems, fire alarm systems and inspection and testing
I have also been working predominantly by myself doing council work over the past year. Working on local council properties has made me learn a lot and by being on my own has helped me to think on my feet quickly and try to work out different ways to complete tasks when a problem occurs. Throughout the last 5 years, I have always had to work within deadlines in all the different jobs and I have done with a high standard of work being carried out at all times.
