About Tagweed Ahmed:

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in joining your team. With a solid foundation in early years education through my SCQF Level 6 qualification in Childhood Practice, and current enrolment in the HNC (Level 7) at Edinburgh College, I am eager to contribute my skills and enthusiasm to a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children.

My background as an Airworthiness Inspector taught me the importance of safety, precision, and responsibility—qualities that are equally critical in an early years setting. Since transitioning to childcare, I have found great fulfilment in supporting children's growth, especially through play-based learning and language development. In my current role as an Arabic teacher for children aged 3–6, I plan and deliver engaging lessons that combine storytelling, music, and inclusive activities.

Throughout my training and voluntary work, I have developed a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, safeguarding procedures, and the importance of creating a welcoming and inclusive space where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and intellectually. My bilingual skills in Arabic and English, as well as my IT proficiency, further enable me to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

I hold PVG Scheme membership and a recent Basic Disclosure, and am committed to ongoing professional development in early years education. I would be excited to join your team and contribute to the positive, child-centred environment your nursery offers.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my experience and passion align with your team’s values and goals.

Yours sincerely,
Tagweed
