I am a passionate and highly motivated individual with a strong academic background in history, having recently graduated in the field. Currently residing in Derby and recently married, I am eager to take the next step in my career and transition into a role within the law or history sectors.

With extensive experience in both sales and hospitality, I have developed a robust skill set in customer service, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving. These skills, paired with my academic background, have given me a unique perspective and a keen interest in exploring roles related to law, legal research, or history-based opportunities. I am adaptable, quick to learn, and committed to delivering excellent results in any field I pursue.

My goal is to combine my love for history and my transferable skills from sales and hospitality into a fulfilling role that aligns with my passions and long-term career aspirations.

I have a diverse background in hospitality and retail, with extensive experience in restaurant management and customer service. Having worked in various restaurants, I’ve developed strong leadership, team management, and operational skills. My responsibilities included overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring high standards of customer service.

In addition, I worked at Dunelm, where I gained in-depth knowledge of home goods and made-to-measure services. This role allowed me to develop expertise in all things house-related, from product knowledge to customer consultation and order management. My ability to understand customer needs, offer tailored solutions, and manage complex orders has equipped me with valuable skills that are transferable to a wide range of industries.

I hold a degree in History, where I gained a comprehensive understanding of various historical periods and themes, from ancient civilizations to modern history. My academic focus included a particular interest in the Regency era, which I explored in depth in my dissertation, earning a First-Class grade. The dissertation examined the impact of Regency-era fashion on costume drama, combining historical research with cultural analysis. Throughout my studies, I developed strong research, critical thinking, and writing skills, enabling me to analyze historical sources, construct well-supported arguments, and communicate complex ideas effectively. These skills are transferable and will support my future career aspirations in history-related fields.
