About Tarun Ramprakash TA:
An MSc graduate in Aerospace Engineering from Cranfield University, I specialise in Applied Aerodynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Numerical Modelling. My education, coupled with my research internships and industry experience as an R&D Engineer, has allowed me to develop a diverse skill set spanning CFD simulations, AI-driven aerodynamics, and UAV/eVTOL design.
Experience
R&D Engineer, BON V Technologies (Jun 2023 – Sep 2024): Contributed to the airframe design of a high-payload UAV (30 kg to 19,024 ft); performed aero-structural optimisation using FEA in ANSYS; led and mentored 3 interns; built a Python + PyMAVLink GUI to automate flight-log analysis (reported ~12% faster processing) and automated reporting via python-docx (reported 50% time reduction).
Education
MSc by Research, Aerospace Engineering, Cranfield University (Sep 2024 – Oct 2025): Specialising in Applied Aerodynamics and CFD under Dr Davide Di Pasquale and Dr Simon Prince.
Research focus: Viscous Full Potential (VFP) transonic flow solver, incorporating propeller slipstream effects and validating against high-fidelity CFD; also developed a web-based deployment app for cross-platform solver access using JavaScript and Python.
