Tayla Daykin

As an ambitious, adaptable, self-motivated, and friendly graduate I have focused on striving in my academic studies as well as developing strong leadership and communication skills through work experience in my free time. My outgoing personality enables me to engage in conversation and get along easily with whomever. As an opportunist I am constantly searching for new ways to grow myself and my knowledge. I am a dedicated and organized young woman who is passionate about business, travelling, and upskilling myself.

Founding partner of So Pitted Surf. My business partner and I have co-founded an online retail website where we sell fashion, sport, and lifestyle products to students at a preferential rate. My responsibilities include the managing of the overall business, specifically, marketing, distribution of the products nationwide, financial and strategic planning. Since founding, the business has successfully grown as a result of adaptive planning through COVID-19.

In my fourth year I am completing a double major consisting of Financial Management and Investment Management where I was placed first in Financial Management out of 300 students for semester one. I have chosen these majors because of my interest in business and financial analysis. These subjects are strongly backed by a diverse range of modules including Economics, Accountancy, and a full range of Management studies.
