Terrell Nwani

To start off, I'd say that my 3 best qualities are that I am an exceptional hard-worker, a team-player and dedicated to any task, taking it in my stride to complete it to the absolute best of my ability.  

I am college student that is currently studying Media. In the span of 3 years, I have built upon my skill in teamwork and communication with this course, (as it requires working in a group, sharing/planning ideas and meeting deadlines) which I believe makes me a suitable candidate in terms of customer service and constructing firm relationships with my colleagues, which is essential for reinforcing a powerful workforce.

Due to my work experience, I prioritise my work and I aspire to further my knowledge in the working world. I will work diligently to satisfy customer needs, approaching them with a positive attitude and a welcoming face leaving them with a pleasant impression of Ikea. I will work to give Ikea a favourable environment, taking on any duty needed to give the best outlook on the presentation of the store.

Through my previous work experiences, I have been able to build on my friendliness and approachability skills. These skills are believe will be useful for working with my Ikea colleagues and customers alike. 

During my Work Experience, I was employed at an engineering company for a week, from the 12th to the 19th of June, 2019. My duties included replacing vehicle tires, sweeping the workshop and garage, inflating tires, and assisting staff members as required.

I worked for the  Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust as an Outpatient Booking Clerk on weekends from June 2023 to October 2023. My responsibilities included cancelling  patient appointments booked through the e-referral service, accessing the Patient Administration System (PAS) to edit referrals, adding patient referrals to the Outpatient Waitlist module, managing the list of patient appointments for cancellation using Excel, and downloading Word documents to convert them to PDF for uploading to the clinical portal.

At the moment, I am in Media Level 3 Year 1, and about to go onto Media Level 3 Year 2 real soon. A few weeks ago, I finished my FMP (Final Major Project), where I had to create a presentation about my initial idea, find a theme/genre for the film, pick out a decent location by making sure weather is perfect for filming, create a simple shot list, and talk about the resources I'll be taking with me.
