Nursing is an extremely satisfying career and brings great job satisfaction while making a difference to both patients and family members. While working in a variety of health care settings this has allowed me to strengthen my ability to multi-task and offer the best possible care to all patients. I have previously worked on Lowton ward as a senior health care assistant for 8 years and previously to that I was care assistant then senior care assistant on a EMI unit.

I feel that this position would be the next step in my career that I feel I am ready and passionate about. I am fully prepared for the challenge ahead, both clinically and academically. Over the years I have gained and great interest in Mental Health and the social aspects or nursing helping patients get back into the community and living independently with care provided as needed, this gives me great job satisfaction helping people to get back close to their normality. I can understand other people’s perspective and I am able to advocate on a patient’s behalf when required and i am not afraid to speak up for my patients when required.

My clinical experience with working with a variety of patients those predominantly suffering with a variety of mental health issues has enabled me to take a greater understanding in to each individual and how this can affect different aspects of their life. I have been encountered in a variety of experiences during my career, these have motivated me into become the best version of my professional self.

I would like to apply for this position as a registered care manager, as I am continually open to learning new skills and growing. I feel this job opportunity will contribute to my career as a professional and as a care leader.

As part of my role in A&E I work closely with over sea nurses new to the country on there first few weeks supernumerary period, student nurses, student TNAs as well as new health care assistant helping them to achieve clinical competencies.  I am able to support and educate them clinically ensuring that all all educational and clinical skills are met which are compliment with legal and professional standards and to ensue supervision is provided at all times. I feel that the skills I have accrued while I worked as Care assistant, Senior Care assistant in care home and Senior HCA in acute ward setting and Registered Nurse associate in a busy A&E department, will enable me to progress my career to a Care Manager and give me the opportunity to prove myself and ensure the best care standards are being delivered and received to our residents.
