Tia McCready

I am a Paediatric nurse with experience working in general,  renal, neurological and day surgery wards. I am currently working in the general ward of a busy central London hospital. I am responsible for providing nursing care for children with asthma, diabetes, sepsis, pre and post surgery, sickle cell disease among many other conditions.

I have a key interest in working on day surgery departments caring for patients pre and post operatively. I have experience caring for patients who have had tonsils and adenoids removal; cleft palate repair, eye and dental surgery; those who have had kidney transplants and those who require MRI scans under general anaesthetic among others.

I have very good communication skills, self motivated and I work very well with others and I would be an asset to any nursing team.

Job role: Paediatric Nurse From January 2022 - the present

• Currently working on a general ward treating Bronchiolitis; asthma; diabetes; sickle cell disease; various respiratory conditions; cleft palate patients
• 6 months on a renal and day surgery ward caring for patients with urology conditions, kidney transplant patients. Working on a day surgery ward caring for patients requiring surgery for various conditions: tonsils and adenoids removal, cleft palate, eye and eye surgery, MRI scans under general anaesthetic, hernia repair, investigative endoscopy among others
• 10 months on a neurological ward caring for patients with epileptic seizures, cerebral palsy and various neurological conditions
