Student Work Experience

My time at The Factory Young Peoples Centre was mandatory during my time in secondary school for work experience - which is why the time spent is so short.
During my time there, I helped create information posters and booklets for the service, sorted and organised stock and supplies within the youth service, and helped with youth groups.
Personally, this experience really helped me develop social skills within the workplace, as I had to communicate with staff and help with the young people attending the service.
It also gave me more knowledge about retail work and how I should go about storing shelves and organising stock.
I would also say it gave me more knowledge about marketing and how to advertise a service as I had to create and market the Youth Centre.
