About Tinazvo Hanciles:

I have recently completed Level 7 ILM Executive Coach course and will be working with aspiring, existing leaders to improve their leadership skills, overall performance and effectiveness either individually or as a group. In this role I use different coaching models and tools to enhance their decision making, time management, strategic thinking and goal setting thereby enabling them to be more self-aware.

I am also a qualified nurse educator, my training includes a postgraduate certificate in education (LSBU), Teaching Healthcare Professionals course (University of Glasgow) and have been a Learning and development REP with the Royal college of nursing. I am an experienced nurse with over 20 years’ experience, with a heart for personal development and growth. In my role as a Clinical Practice Educator, I have been responsible for working with pre-reg student nurses ensuring their placement runs smoothly and being the person of contact should they need any assistance while placed on my site. I worked with post registration nurses on the preceptorship program ensuring a smooth transition from student to nurse, offering pastoral support. Working with international nurses, training and preparing them to seat the OSCE exam which allowed them to register on the NMC and be able practice in the UK. Working with different teams within the hospital to run understanding day which included quizzes, role play or simulations to build up teams and by  training on a particular topic e.g. communication, how to escalate concerns using the SBAR tool.

My background is in general nursing with specialist training and experience in cardiac nursing (Acute, inpatient and outpatient), I have varied knowledge, skill and experience in several clinical skills such as venepuncture, cannulation, female catheterisation, nasogastric tube insertion etc. I am a good communicator and enjoy passing knowledge and information using different formats simulation, classroom type teaching, 1-2-1 teaching.

I am looking to consolidate the Executive Coaching with the Educator role as they both involve empowering learners to become more self-aware and become best versions of themselves and become confident in the clinical skills. I hope to transfer my 20 years knowledge and experience at the same time motivate and encourage nurses, student nurses, nurse leaders to thrive in positions they have been promoted to or are currently in or aspire to be. Enabling them to build resilience and strategies that strategically align with their goals.
