I have a strong interest in IT, network management and server maintenance in particular. Prior to IT, I have gained managerial experience in an office environment.

● Google Workspace and Office 365 Management;
● Smoothwall Firewall management;
● Management of the School Ruckus WiFi;
● Maintaining site backups via DPM;
● Managing, maintaining and upgrading physical and virtual servers in a Hyper-V environment;
● Ensuring the integrity of the IT infrastructure is maintained and the smooth running of the IT support services;
● Advising staff on emerging technologies as appropriate;
● Taking ownership of IT projects and the development of existing systems;
● Providing first line through to third line support to staff and pupils raised by phone, email or through the ticketing system;
● Logging and maintaining support requests and keep users informed of progress;
● Responsible for the installation and maintenance of, and supply of consumables for, the School printers and photocopiers, liaising with the contracted external equipment provider where necessary;
● Set up AV equipment for school activities where necessary;
● Available for school functions and events outside of normal working hours;
● Provide technical support for external guests when required;
● Diagnosing and resolving network, software and hardware faults and performing maintenance repairs and upgrades, escalating as appropriate;
● Testing equipment routinely to ensure it is working correctly;
● Purchasing, installing, configuring, and supporting KHS owned PCs, laptops, IT hardware, peripherals and software where necessary;
● Advising on the school’s IT strategy;
● Budget work;
● Supporting with data requests, ensuring high levels of confidentiality;
● User onboarding;
● Dealing with intricate and complex issues - e.g. server shutdowns server downtime, ensuring availability of services;
● System upgrades, installations and configurations;

● Mange the Primary School IT Service for twelve schools;
● Manage the primary school IT services technician;
● Provide IT strategic advice to the supported schools;
