Volunteer/2022- 2023

My main role in this job was to be on the staff team at camps we hold.

My responsibilities included:

-       Team planning

-       Independent planning at times to plan your own presentations or segments in camp

-       First aid training and administering first aid when needed

-       Report to our facilitator if there were any concerns about any children due to safeguarding

-       Go through safeguarding training weekend

-        Adjust to any mishaps that may happen through out the day resulting in me becoming a very flexible person

-       Supervising the children we held at camp

-       Organising rooms etc we would use for socials this included decorating them, making sure I ask for orders that I need for my socials. Mainly adhering to tasks set and deadlines given

-        being  a team leader

We usually had an awards ceremony at the end of camp and many voted for volunteer they thought deserved the ‘best volunteer’ award. Their judgment was determined by the dedication of the volunteer. Including, their interaction with the children and many other things. I won this award on our first ‘Anima’ camp.

Barnardos Charity Shop

Volunteer/2019-2020

In this job I worked at the back mainly, tagging and sorting the clothes that are donated. However, sometimes I would be at the front of the shop organising the look of the shop making it pleasing to the eye.

Other responsibilities I had were:

-       Occasionally cash handling

-       Guarding the shop at times if my supervisor was occupied with something  else

-       Interacting with customers

-       Use my initiative when I have completed a task and I see another task that needs completing

-       Create a welcoming environment for customers

Big Church Festival

Volunteer/2024

In this job I had the responsibility of selling merchandise. In addition to this to make sure that I am recording what sales we make. I was made to work in a team which once again increased my ability to work/solve problems with others or be flexible and cooperative with other people. This volunteering job taught me how to work under pressure when there were waves of people coming in and out. I was also asked to guide queues for signings that were happening. This meant that I needed to be aware of my surroundings guiding people of where to go.

Deo Gloria Coffee Shop

Volunteer/2024

Although I was only able to volunteer here for two weeks. This job gave me the responsibility of cleaning up the coffee shop whilst it is open making sure each customer came into a clean environment. In addition to this, I would take mugs and dishes from tables back and forth either for cleaning or serving people with their orders. This volunteering job gave me the opportunity to learn how to be quick on my feet, in filling in where jobs were not able to be done, since it has a small amount of staff.

University of Exeter: Law with professional placement

I have just finished my second year of law still awaiting my results, but last year I finished with a 2:2 overall, I was very close to a 2:1. I achieved 2:1s within some of my modules.
