About Victoria Beech:

I have dedicated myself to the care of dogs, both through my personal experience and my current role as Kennel Supervisor at the Dogs Trust. In this capacity, I have honed my skills in ensuring the highest level of care for the dogs in my charge. I am responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kennels and exercise spaces to prevent the spread of infections within the centre.

During an eight-month period, I was assigned light duties while awaiting surgery for carpal tunnel, I have had and fully recovered from that operation and am now back working in kennels full time.

During this time, I gained valuable experience in front-of-house roles, including reception, where I handled inquiries and took calls from members of the public.

I also collaborated closely with the Adoption Advisors, interacting with members of the public both over the phone and in person, processing their applications and providing comprehensive information about the dogs that were matched with applicants. I coordinated meet-and-greets, distributed necessary documents, and addressed any inquiries they may have had.

I worked alongside the vet team putting clinical records on to RX Works I assisted the vet team with bringing the dogs to the vets and assisting them with the consultation process, weighing the dogs, holding the dog still for the vet so they can assess the dog,

Prior to this, I ran my own dog walking business in Brighton, providing group walks and a one-on-one service to assist anxious or nervous dogs. I am well-adapted to various weather conditions and enjoy outdoor activities.

During my school years, I gained valuable experience working in a kennel, where I assisted in feeding, grooming, bathing, and cleaning the dogs. I also took the dogs for walks and daily exercises in the yards.

I possess effective communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new work environments. I am a compassionate and empathetic individual with a deep passion for animals. I believe that providing the best possible care for animals and ensuring their happy and fulfilling lives is a rewarding and fulfilling experience.

I am both an independent and collaborative individual, and I thrive in both team-based and solo environments.

Experience

I have been working at the dogs trust for over two years and have gained valuable knowledge and experienc.

I am ABTC accredited in Dog Training and have a wide knowledge of Dogs.

I have had front of house customers service experience with meets with potential owners talking about the dogs and making sure they have all the information they need.
I have worked on reception answering the phones and dealing with enquiries from the public via email, phone or face to face.

I have had experience working alongside the vet team and helping to keep records on RX works making sure it was available for the vets to view when seeing the dogs during a vet visit.

I have also worked with the adoption team and have used the computer systems to rehome dogs speaking to potential owners matching them with dogs and organising meets.

I have experience with record keeping and organising staff shifts and where they are during the day.

I would do one to ones with the staff making sure that they are on track with their personal development goals and help them reach their potential.

I train new staff and volunteers to ensure that they are following the daily routine and able to clean the kennels to a high standard.
