About Yaashiniy Ganesh:
My name is Yaashiniy. I did my Diploma in Mass Communication, Bachelor’s in Public Relations and Communication and I am pursuing my Master’s in Disaster Management and Sustainable Development. This is my last semester and I am doing my dissertation on ‘The Communication within and across the Local Resilience Forum (LRF): The changes from traditional communication to online communication in responding to incidents during covid in the UK.’ The reason I took up this topic was to look into how communication changed the way we worked online, students attended online classes, and celebrated birthdays online. It only took a virus for us to realize how important communication was which is very often taken for granted. My short-term goal is to first build my foundation in developing problem-solving skills, multi-task, and interpersonal skills. What drives me is saving people’s lives. Nothing is more important than saving a life. It adds greater value to my life if I am able to save someone’s life. I believe I am compassionate and can plan my work while having a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
