Hi, I’m Yakub, an architecture graduate with a strong technical foundation and a refined approach to design. My expertise includes interpreting building fabric and structural components, which I convey through detailed 3D visualizations to support clear project coordination. This technical insight enhances my understanding of the procurement process, where aligning design intent with materials and timelines is key.

My architectural training has equipped me to translate complex design decisions into actionable steps within the construction phase, bridging the gap between design and implementation. I am driven to contribute meaningfully to projects, ensuring technical precision and efficiency across all stages.

UK Experience Programme offering year 10-12 students a chance to work with local architects in practice on a small brief based project development. Engagement with the firm and understanding how everyone operate.

Stride Treglown, Bristol.

UK RIBA mentorship programme. Guided by a mentor working at Stride Treglown. Experiencing a larger scale firm and how they operate on multiple projects. Site visits to ongoing Stride Treglown projects and engaging with the architects collaborating with other disciplines on site.

This degree emphasizes architectural principles, focusing on sustainable and passive design strategies and efficient systems. The objective is to create environmentally-driven design proposals whilst applying theoretical knowledge and creativite outputs.

Design Studio modules equipped me with expertise to effectively evaluate personal and clients’ briefs and successfully deliver projects that align with their objectives, requirements, and aspirations. I have developed a thorough understanding of site analysis, enabling me to identify and leverage the advantages offered by passive design strategies. Gained proficiency in designing architecture that integrates modern sustainable techniques, adhering to Passivhaus and BREEAM standards, and complies with building regulations. 

Technical modules has equipped me with the skills for detailed designs and develop integrated technical design strategies. Developed understanding for considering the building’s arrangement, sustainability strategy, construction details, with attention to structural and building envelope systems, services, fire safety, material lifecycle, regulations, ethics and value.
