Experience

With over 19 years of international experience in the renewable energy sector, I have led the development, financing, and execution of large-scale projects across solar PV, onshore wind, biomass, and energy storage technologies. My career spans strategic leadership roles including Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Wattcrop, where I built a 1GW+ renewable energy pipeline in partnership with Macquarie’s Green Investment Group, and senior commercial positions at Greensolver (Voltalia Group), BayWa r.e., and Foresight Group. I have successfully managed full project lifecycles—from greenfield development to O&M—while securing over £50 million in funding, overseeing M&A activity, and building high-performing, cross-cultural teams across the UK and Europe. Alongside project development, I have led high-impact consulting assignments on tenders, regulatory strategy, and policymaking across multiple jurisdictions, supporting both private sector stakeholders and public institutions. I have also driven the digital transformation of business operations by introducing advanced tools such as CRM systems, remote asset inspection platforms, pricing models, and performance tracking frameworks—enhancing operational efficiency and enabling data-driven decision-making. My M&A experience includes leading negotiations and due diligence for the acquisition of operational renewable energy portfolios, development pipelines, and full corporate acquisitions, successfully integrating new assets and teams into expanding platforms. Known for my strategic vision, commercial acumen, and policy engagement, I contribute to industry development as a Visiting Lecturer in Energy Economics and Sales Management, and have held leadership roles in Solar Power Europe and the UK Solar Trade Association.

Education

I hold a Master of Arts in Design with a specialisation in Prototype Design from the University of Central Lancashire, graduating with First Class Honours and Distinction, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle. Complementing my formal education, I have pursued extensive vocational training in energy systems and project management, including certifications in PRINCE2 (Practitioner), Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt), and specialized technical training in PV and wind systems design, biomass project management, and quality assurance (ISO 9001/22000/18000 auditing). This academic foundation is reinforced by my role as a Visiting Lecturer at leading institutions such as Bayes Business School (City, University of London) and ESCP Business School in Paris. Over several years, I have developed and delivered postgraduate-level courses in Energy Economics, Asset Management in Energy, Branding, Digital Marketing, and Sales Management.
