Zhi Yung Foo

I am a future Trainee Solicitor at Mayer Brown LLP. I am currently enrolled as a SQE Candidate at BPP University. I am currently looking for temporary paralegal positions during term time (<20 hours). I will be looking for FTC paralegal positions after the SQE programme and before the Training Contract starts (September 2024 - March 2025).

I have gained extensive experience through various internships in the legal and financial sectors.

At Mayer Brown LLP in London, I proofread agreements, assisted in deal closures, researched case law, and conducted risk analysis, earning a training contract offer. At Della AI, I reviewed contracts and improved AI models.

During my time at Mondrian Investment Partners, I built financial models and assessed litigation risks. At Paul Hastings LLP, I digitized investor clauses and analyzed legal agreements. At Hayfin Capital Management, I supported document execution and AML/KYC analysis.

As a Brand Ambassador for The Frontline, I organized events and improved the company's social media presence. I also interned at Trowers & Hamlin LLP and Izwan & Partners in Kuala Lumpur, assisting with due diligence, legal research, and fundraising.

I completed my Law LLB at Queen Mary University of London from 2019 to 2023, graduating with First Class Honours. During my third year, I completed a placement year at Paul Hastings LLP, which I passed. 

Before university, I attended Methodist College in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where I completed my A-levels in 2019, achieving grades of A in Mathematics, Economics, and English Literature.
