Job Title:
Financial Accountant


Location:
Blackburn (office based)


Salary:
£30k - £40k


Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering proactive adhoc financial analysis to support business unit decision making
  • Prepare weekly requirements such as sales, orders, and cash reports
  • Support with monthly balance sheet review and reconciliations
  • Monthend responsibilities and reporting tasks, such as (but not limited to) journals preparation and posting, intercompany payments, running and reviewing of debtors and creditors aging reports, provisions calculations
  • Support with the budgeting and forecasting process by consolidating the budget, analyzing and understanding variances
  • Support and prepare the annual financial reports for the business unit
  • Assist the Finance Leader by becoming a "super user" for the main financial systems

Requirements:


  • Qualified or solid accounting experience (AAT or any recognised accounting qualification)
  • SAP Business One knowledge
  • Solid and proven experience within accounting, e.g. balance sheet reconciliations and month end processes
  • Strong IT skills, experienced in use of Excel and ability to pick up new systems
  • Analytical mindset with ability to produce to a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, balancing both short and longterm requests
  • Adaptability with agile and continuous improvement mindset
