The role in a nutshell:

Are you a Strategic thinker who wants to get stuff done and get it done well? Have you been burned one too many times by amazing client recommendations being accepted with acclaim and enthusiasm, for them to never see the light of day? Then this role might be for you

As a Strategist at Kin + Carta we focus on building strategies for execution, not for sitting in a desk drawer.

We build real products and services, and deliver tangible results from digital transformation programmes.

We are specifically looking for a Lead Strategist with experience in commerce to work with our clients and prospects as we continue to build our long, and well respected presence in the sector.

Splitting your time between presales, GTM strategy, and working with clients on their most pressing challenges, you'll join a growing team of Strategists as we continue to scale in size and influence.

While we don't do all of the below at the same time, over the course of your first 6 months you are likely to have an opportunity to:

Help Kin + Carta win more commerce work, and uncover new opportunities, working closely with our Portfolio Director and Engineering Consultants to evolve our GTM and approach for new and existing clients

Help Kin + Carta build additional credibility in commerce with new content and ideas, developing points of view, marketing content and activities to drive awareness of what we do and how we do it, both internally and externally

Develop new propositions and ventures for commerce focused clients, leading and driving experiments and incubation activities to uncover and prioritise business cases for further investment in tech / digital led propositions & business models

Lead a strategic product or transformation project within commerce, working in a tight, cross-functional team with our clients to explore, validate and uncover a roadmap for transformation or product delivery

The type of person we'd love to meet:

You have a wealth of experience and understanding of what it takes to deliver a seamless commerce experience, beyond the "front end" customer experience.
You're an innovative thinker and strategist with a strong perspective on building ecosystems for commercial success.
You are experienced in the development and delivery of new business pitches and proposals, and have a strong point of view on what now, near and next for commerce.
You can lead out on and effectively communicate a product, service, platform, modernisation or transformation strategy to C level stakeholders, and are able to demonstrate strong understanding of ROI and business benefits of digital change.
You're able to think in both business and behavioural models, researching and analysing organisations, and develop insight into customer behaviour.
You're somebody who possess a deep knowledge of how products and services get built, launched and grow from discovery through to delivery and live.
You're able to employ a varied toolkit of frameworks and techniques from across disparate areas of consulting, design, technology and tangential fields.
You truly understand what makes an excellent customer experience, and how that translates into commercial success for businesses.

Nice to Have:

You are passionate about technology and the transformative effect of software on the world
Experience in planning and facilitating collaborative working sessions
Experienced navigating the structures, politics and incentives of the large organisations we (usually) work for, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Experience working as a strategic leader in technology or design agencies / consultancies
