Leicestershire-based Browns Health & Safety is expanding its team to welcome a Health and Safety Consultant on board to support its clients predominantly in the Construction Industry.
The job:
- Support varied clients with their health and safety requirements
- Assist with providing a consultancy and day to day advice service to clients on all health and safety issues
- Assist with developing new business
- Assist with the implementation and review of Health & Safety Policies, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other policies and reports
- Assist with advising clients where new safe systems of work are required, the preparation of health and safety reports and documentation
- Help with completion of site audits/inspections with comprehensive reporting, identifying corrective actions required and escalation of concerns.
- Assist with monitoring contractors' performance on site and help implement corrective action on issues of failure
- Help to prepare or review Pre-Construction Information (PCI) and Construction Phase HS Plans (CPP), providing feedback to clients
- Gain and maintain knowledge and understanding of HS principles and regulations, including CDM 2015
About you:
- You're experienced in the world of construction and have a full understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 201
- A NEBOSH General Certificate is essential, NEBOSH Construction Certificate desirable
- If you are a qualified trainer that is a real advantage, if not we will provide training to enable you to get a qualification.
- You've got a full UK Driving Licence and your own transport
- As a Health and Safety Consultant you will be expected to keep accurate records, should be approachable, and able to communicate effectively at all levels within a company.
- You will work closely with the client and build up relationships of trust to enable you to support them through the transitions of becoming competent.
- As a Health and Safety Consultant you will be expected to manage your own workload, managing your time effectively with the ability to meet deadlines.
- The ideal Health and Safety Consultant will be someone who is patient, and able to find workable solutions for companies with specific requirements a flexible approach and problemsolving attitude is essential to meet the varied needs of the client.
