We are a dynamic team who support older people in a Day Centre environment.

We are looking for a new team member who is enthusiastic and supportive of older people's needs in a fun environment.

Job Type:
This is a permanent position (30 hrs) with the opportunity for personal development.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Undertake training when required.

Work within health and safety guidelines and other guidelines that may be issued from time to time.

• Attend relevant training courses as identified and agreed including Safer People Handling, Risk Assessment, Food Hygiene, First Aid at Work and Health and Safety.
• Day Centre,
• Assist in transportation of members on our minibus to and from the Day Centre safely: Supervising passengers getting on/off vehicle, and use of hydraulic platform,
• Assist as required with the serving of lunches, clearing.
• Establish social contact with members during pickup and transportation and at the Centre
• Report on wellbeing of members to the manager as necessary.
• Assist members with mobility, with sensitivity and due regard for dignity, privacy and self

- respect.

• Attend team meetings as required.
• Adhere to the Centre's Equal Opportunities policy, and promote the policy with other staff and members.
• In general to perform any other duties that may reasonably fall within the remit of the post in order to provide maximum flexibility in meeting members' needs.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

This post requires an affinity for working with older people, and the ability to work in, and contribute to, a small but dedicated team.

Own car driver and experience in care preferred but not essential.
